Airfield Operations Driving Simulator
The 550XG-Airfield OPS™ is a high-fidelity driving simulator developed to train airport personnel responsible for operating airfield operations vehicles, including pickup trucks, SUVs, maintenance vehicles, and other airport support vehicles. Designed for Airfield Operations, Vehicle Services, Operations & Maintenance, Security, and other airport departments, the simulator immerses operators in realistic driving scenarios that prepare them for the unique challenges of operating safely within the airport movement and non-movement areas.
The simulator enables instructors to expose drivers to situations that are difficult, costly, or hazardous to recreate on an active airfield, improving driver confidence while reducing vehicle downtime, operational disruptions, and overall training costs. Multiple simulator units can be networked together to create coordinated training exercises involving Airfield Operations, ARFF, Snow Removal, and other airport personnel, reinforcing communication, situational awareness, and team-based emergency response.
The 550XG-Airfield OPS™ utilizes a 225° panoramic visual system with three 55-inch Ultra HD displays, delivering exceptional peripheral vision and depth perception for runway and taxiway operations, perimeter road driving, airfield inspections, aircraft avoidance, and navigation through complex airport environments.
